A little about myself
Hello, I’m Jason! Welcome to my site. I started my career in Learning and Development in 2011 while I was working at Purdue University.
I have worked as an instructional designer in both corporate and higher education settings. Although I have been responsible for delivering elegant design solutions that span the entirety of the ADDIE process, I find that my passion leads me to the design and development of eLearning.
I have a Master of Science in Education (Learning Design and Technology Program) from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science (Program Management) from Illinois State University.
But wait, there’s more! Well, two more actually…
Yes, I love to design, but why do I do it? I mean, why do I really do it? It is for these young ladies right here. Let me introduce you to my daughters, Layne (13) and Colbie (11).
Let me promise you, when the project deliverables are unclear, when the learning objectives are not aligned, and when the stakeholder asks for the moon with a bow on top, I look to these two little ones as my driver to be the best I can be time and time again.
Last ‘butt’ not least
You can’t visit my About section without getting to know me on a deep, personal (maybe too personal) level, can you? Let’s begin by telling you I have 2 cats, and one (southern half of cat pictured), enjoys sitting on my head from time to time.
I love to laugh and find humor in almost any situation. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, listening to music, learning new things, and sitting around the campfire.
